Job Description

  • Work with customers and internal teams to establish specifications of wafer and epitaxy products.
  • Assess and communicate Dow Corning technical capabilities and relevant customers’ needs.
  • Assess device performance and correlate to material metrics to identify key material quality parameters in compound semiconductor.
  • Act as the technical link between Dow Corning and customers for compound semiconductor wafers and epitaxy products and R&D programs.
  • Support key customer / prospect relationships in order to understand and translate unmet needs to potential products / solutions.
  • This role is based in Jincheon, Korea.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Masters or Ph. D in Material Science, Inorganic Chemistry, Semiconductor Engineering preferred. Or, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience as a process engineer or R&D engineer in compound semiconductor fabrication, power electronics module, epitaxy process.
  • Strong knowledge of solid state physics and materials engineering.
  • Specific knowledge of material growth, characterization or discreet electronic device fabrication is desirable.
  • Good interpersonal with written and verbal communications skills.
  • Has a strong desire and ability to learn by seeking new information, knowledge, and experiences and practically apply that.
  • Proactive, energetic and enjoys meeting with customers.
  • Ability to effectively work across multiple functions and cultures.
  • Can work autonomously with a high degree of self organization.
